PostQuil publishes practical guides, explainers, and essays across technology, business, finance, health & wellness, marketing, and travel & lifestyle. These Editorial Guidelines describe the standards we hold ourselves to, and the standards we expect from anyone who writes for us, so that readers can trust what they find here.

Our Editorial Mission

Our aim is simple: help readers understand a topic well enough to make a confident decision. We favor clarity over jargon, practical usefulness over filler, and honesty over hype — even when the honest answer is “it depends.”

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions at PostQuil — what we cover, how we cover it, and what we recommend — are made independently of advertisers, affiliate partners, and sponsors. No advertiser or partner is given the right to review or approve editorial content before publication, and payment never guarantees a positive review or ranking.

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

  • Claims involving statistics, pricing, regulations, or product features are checked against credible, current sources at the time of writing.
  • Where possible, we link to or cite primary sources (official documentation, government or regulatory bodies, original research) rather than relying solely on secondary reporting.
  • Time-sensitive information — such as insurance coverage, pricing, or travel requirements — is noted as accurate “as of” the publish or last-updated date, since these details can change.
  • We do our best to catch errors before publishing, but if you spot one, please tell us (see Section 8).

Originality & Plagiarism

All content published on PostQuil must be original. We do not publish plagiarized work, and we do not tolerate close paraphrasing of another publisher’s article structure, phrasing, or unique analysis. Quoted material from other sources must be properly attributed and kept brief, consistent with fair use.

Use of AI Tools

AI tools may be used to assist with research, outlining, or drafting efficiency. However, every piece published on PostQuil is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before it goes live. We do not publish unreviewed AI output, and authors remain responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work regardless of what tools were used to produce it.

Sourcing Standards

  • Prefer primary sources (official sites, filings, studies, direct company statements) over aggregator content.
  • Attribute statistics, quotes, and claims to their original source.
  • Avoid sources with a known pattern of inaccuracy or that cannot be independently verified.
  • Personal experience or opinion is welcome, but must be clearly framed as such rather than presented as established fact.

Disclosure of Affiliate Links & Sponsored Content

PostQuil may include affiliate links, for which we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to readers. We may also occasionally publish sponsored content or paid partnerships.

  • Sponsored posts and paid partnerships are clearly labeled as such.
  • Affiliate relationships do not determine which products receive a favorable review — our assessment reflects our genuine editorial opinion.
  • See our full Disclaimer for more detail on affiliate and sponsored content.

Author Attribution

Articles are attributed to the writer or, where a piece has been substantially updated or maintained by our editorial team, to PostQuil staff. Guest contributions submitted through our Write for Us program are attributed to the contributing author, and any relevant affiliations or conflicts of interest are disclosed where applicable.

Corrections Policy

We take accuracy seriously. If a factual error is identified after publication:

  • Minor corrections (typos, broken links, small factual updates) are fixed directly without a formal notice.
  • Substantive corrections (errors that affect the meaning or accuracy of a claim) are corrected in the article, and where appropriate, a brief correction note with the update date is added.
  • Readers can report suspected errors via our Contact Us page.

Guest Contributor Standards

Writers submitting through Write for Us are expected to:

  • Submit original, unpublished work written specifically for PostQuil
  • Support factual claims with credible, linkable sources
  • Disclose any financial or personal interest in the topics, products, or companies discussed
  • Avoid excessive self-promotion or link-stuffing; links should serve the reader, not just the linked site

All guest submissions are reviewed by our editorial team before publication and may be edited for clarity, accuracy, length, or house style.

Comments & Community Standards

Where commenting is enabled, we expect respectful, on-topic discussion. Comments containing spam, harassment, hate speech, or clearly false claims may be moderated or removed at our discretion.

These Editorial Guidelines work alongside our Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions. Together, they describe how we produce content and how the Site operates.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may revise these Editorial Guidelines periodically as our processes evolve. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
